Osprey almost drowns with its catch!

I wish for 10 seconds more of this footage.

It takes an immense amount of energy for an osprey to emerge out of the water with wet feathers and the weight of a large fish 🐠 so awesome!!

Holy crap! I love how it pokes its head out of the water and just sort of looks around, "No big deal, I'll FLAP..." and then it starts levitating... They are such amazing birds. And this is a great little vid! Thanks!

The fact the bird can see it's prey from above thru the water and easily catch an agile fish in it's environment, amazing!

Saw one in Spain that did drown - once hooked in and fighting it went under 3 times and didn’t make it up. I never saw the body afterwards - sad, but sometimes you bite off more than you can chew…..nature.
