@Oni Need to be no air inside? Where did you get that info? Normally there is a little filter in them to allow air (clean) to come in/out. I have run drives outside of their casing before when doing recovery. Doesn't hurt them. Of course dust or foreign material on them will, but air? No. Now, there are some that have helium or possibly other gasses in them, but that is only to decrease friction and humidity and such.

Oh wait nm, could it be to generate a bunch of comments like these to appeal to the algorithms, who don't discern aggravation from intrigue, increasing how much it's recommended, further wasting time to generate more comments and further promoting the video in a vicious cycle, all in hopes to make some cash off outage and not to mention any potential dangers that could result from the gullible. Darn though. They got me this time. I can only hope that this will encourage at least two other people to NOT comment here or on any of these types of videos going forward and maybe these talentless trolls won't be so willing to waste their own time to pedal these mind-numbingly unnecessary videos.

Sometimes (not this time, however) small potential differences show up unexpectedly. I built a little cell to test the conductivity of some wet sand I was using for my research. The two conductive aluminum sheets were cut from the same stock. But with no power present, my voltmeter showed maybe 5 volts across the two sheets with the wet sand between them. I was strongly advised to investigate no further lest I get distracted from my main project. It's still a mystery.

"The hardest part of building a perpetual energy machine is figuring out where to hide the batteries."
Some people think that it's free energy But in reality it's the most expensive energy I ever seen 😢
-electroboom
Read cafefully and read the previous comments. Literally, you just interpreted what you want to.
@David Medina You've described the lead-acid cell while the "device" in question uses salty water which is alkaline. The sulphuric acid H2SO4 in the real electrolyte makes the oxidation, so now you should explain how NaCl+H2O solution could do that.
Chemical energy

Anyone can be sued, it takes proof of facts to win
sue it if you have pattented document that that idea/invention is yours.🤣😅🤦
The trick is simple and easy, all it has to do is turn on another wind source hidden in front of that fan, so the fan rotates because of the wind that comes from a large fan in front of it, and that's all there is to it.
So if you use the 2 TB HD instead of the 500GB it should spin 4X faster, right?
as long as there's no porn on your hard drive, you're all good. but if there is then you'll get half the speed instead of 4x..
Yes exactly
Entretenido 😂😂😂😂😂fake
@MADHUKESH N P 😂
I actually made several of these and connected them to my electric boat motor. Now I travel the seven seas on ocean water power!
I dont believe that😂😂😂
I made an electric space craft to goto moon with this
Really? So how does it work?
Lmao that is innovative unlike our friend here 😂
Captain Nemo lol
-How stupid you want it to be ? -Yes!
Tbh, there's just air inside a HDD, clean air, but simple air. Opening a HDD will not wreck it, but it needs to be in a clean room.

How does he make a battery with both electrodes of the same material? Fake.
@Максимум Шамин 😂

The salt in the water (ionized) is just completing the circuit (the battery is hidden inside the fan assembly). Those platters are merely conductors not batteries. ;)
@SURINAM🇸🇷_LION professor you say? Most two different metals will do it, it's why you have a sacrificial anode on boats
Yes salt water with two plates of different metals would make a very weak battery. I think you have exposed tge truth
‼️Thing is that about a decade ago a Dutch professor made batteries that worked with salt🧂🧂🧂 ‼️He also said that the technique ain't that complicated... ‼️I do'nt know if this guy in the vid is using the same technique as the Dutch professor ‼️Maybe this vid is fake...
The fan started spinning even before the salt water was poured 😄
Yeah just stick an LED bulb with both legs not touching, into a cup of salt water. Does it light up? Therefore, there's another source of power we're not being shown. I hate these videos. People like this COULD make so much better and awesome shit, but they think that the "hidden 1.5-9V battery" trick will still get the clicks. And they're right. Sadly enough. Let's fix this situation ppl. BE MORE CREATIVE, LESS SHEISTY!
”Honey have you seen the old hard drives with all the photos from when the children where young?”
@OWL LOWс языка снял!
Hardest part of this video is hiding the battery
If you use a SSD board you can access the power from the 9V battery hidden in the fan at much faster speeds then if you use 2 HDD platters submerged in salt water to complete the electrical connection circuit.
@Maks Leonov
😂😂😂
Bro broke the $20 hdd the first time he touched that disc 😂
Where do you live? Because for this hdd i will pay 40-50 $ in my currency
I tried to swat some little bugs off of my screen, until I realized they were on your patio.
Why is everyone hating, this guy is just as legit as a 7 dollar bill.
I got a 7 dollar bill that is going to collections im not paying for this garbage!
Salt makes it act like a switch. Amazing idea 💡 it just consumes more energy from the battery than regular switch.
I took two of these harddrives out of old satellite TV boxes.. they've a cool interior and I was hoping to see a cool use.
The hard part is hiding the battery 😜
The hard part is trying to figure out why anyone would take such time to waste the time of others...
@Carl Green You failed physics class. 🤦♂️
@Carl Green not with same metal plates.
Super cool! What about the hard drive makes this possible?
Sometimes (not this time, however) small potential differences show up unexpectedly. I built a little cell to test the conductivity of some wet sand I was using for my research. The two conductive aluminum sheets were cut from the same stock. But with no power present, my voltmeter showed maybe 5 volts across the two sheets with the wet sand between them. I was strongly advised to investigate no further lest I get distracted from my main project. It's still a mystery.
500 Gb - 5V, 2 Tb - 20V
HDD 1GB/s 5Volt DC SSD 22TB/s 240 Volt AC
If you use Mountain Dew instead of saltwater eventually it will turn in to a fine aged whiskey.
Very good 😊👍

Sei un genio! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Waaas du auch?
That contraption will come in handy!!!
You have to play the same music as the video for it to work. That's the part everyone is missing. The music has a certain frequency that activates the salt in the water and makes the molecules dance and that's what generates the electricity.
I like the way the fan anticipated the salt water and started to turn before it had any direct effect !!
@preytec Yes, Would he likes to recommend with Outbrain? It's not concerning about the disk (coated Poly carbonate and plastic lacquer ) from any HDD plates that could generate electricity.
This fan's done this before, this ain't its first gig. It's like Jim Carrey's fan equivalent, a total overactor but y'all still talk about it's every move..
How does he make a battery with both electrodes of the same material? Fake.
:)
how about SSD - will it work better?
What is the metal in absolute is needed for that ? Can i use some else instead the HD disks ?
😂😂😂
I'm gonna take the hard drive out of my wife's computer and try this.
Elon musk project nuralink will connect brain to pc now think what😅 your wife use your brain instead of her pc hardisk 😂😂😂.
She’s gonna think you’re destroying her memory and then you end up in the trunk of your car😅
Won’t the modifications make it incredibly hard to read from the hard disk when you are done?
🤣
He must be an auditor for the IRS working at the Pentagon.
Salt is an excellent conductor, as soon as the discs are dipped they end up making contact.
Correct, unfortunately the two discs(platters) are made of the same thing . That means nothing happens.
I replaced my V6 engine with this motor. It works. Just carry water.
Congratulation mate !
If you say "gullible" very slowly, it sounds like "orange".
😂
@1zanglang 🤣
When I opened the hdd of laptop there was disc of glass not metallic maybe it depends on type of hdd 🤔
I would really appreciate that person with tons of Patreons if they increased the capacity of old harddisks instead of ripping it apart.
Jajaja m rei jaja

There were 384 BTC in one of those HDDs
I'm not sure why, but when he made the first hole into those innocent looking discs, my heart got hurt a little.
Because it’s ridiculous and stupid waste of a hard drive

Or battery is hidden 🤔
Instructions unclear: the client is very upset. Please advise.
2 plates are similar type,so there will be no potential difference across them.
@arun kumar Hahaha! Good joke.
So no electrical 'vacume' to motivate the electric current ?
@arun kumar Please delete your profile picture from Tesla, if such a plain joke went over your head. Nikola would rotate in his grave if he would read.
Se funcionace assim nem precisaria dos discos
The hardest part of electric genrator is to hiding the batteries 🔋
the moment he touched the disc. 'aight im out'
How long does this last ?
Physics left the group*
Legend says Elon Musk is using this device to power his rockets too.
Did you mean water towers?
And the reflective surface lets him look at and admire himself too
Estem....
What voltage was that electric motor ?
This guy needs some safety lessons on a table saw.
Beautiful
The hardest part of free energy devices is hiding the battery...
Always use a over sized motor housing and you can put a smaller motor with battery's inside.
You forgot the part where you mention that you have to download 500GB of perpetual motion videos onto the drive first.
This video currently has roughly 550K dislikes. And no wonder, I would CRY if someone just butchered > 2 Terabytes worth of storage space!
All the people's are invited to attend the funeral of the physics 😔😔
Wake up tulsa
The magnets inside the hdd can also be saved
I like how they never showed the entire engine when it's completed. They always have part of it just out of camera shots so they can hide the wires and the batteries
The trick is simple and easy, all it has to do is turn on another wind source hidden in front of that fan, so the fan rotates because of the wind that comes from a large fan in front of it, and that's all there is to it.
Truth.
I need to fragmented my hdd.. Sure !
When I started the vid I thought the a bad hd was being disassembled for the magnetic but then this. Even better 😂😂😂
I like that "Don't recommend channel" button. Really useful.
The platters are very smooth, you can't make a battery of them. Also they use the wrong metals anyway.
I've tried that. I even put some gasoline in the water. An amazing thing happened that an alternating current came from the hearts. The 10-storey building is now using free electricity.
Now we can buy energy through these energy producing sources 😂
🤣🤣
Hoax?
You're capping harder than when your dad left
I thought he was going to do something cool with the magnets. I’m sitting on a bunch of SAS drives that I can’t get myself to throw away.
Somebody stop my jetplane I accidentally used 5Tb hardisk of #Mia to make it now it's ain't stopping.
@Serik Fuerte
@Serik Fuerte
@Serik Fuerte
Damn dude, use a push stick with that table saw!
As a IT guy, that's hurt looking at it
Within like 3 seconds of the video starting I was like "Why?"
Totally same. I for real winced when he clamped them in a vice and drilled through them.
non IT guy, still hurt 😭
Yeah same here, just pretend they were broken.
Can i use ssd to more fast speed??🤔
Remember you can always assemble them again and they work perfectly again 😊
Si ma avranno 2 bug.😊
Yh trust buddy
I got a better idea for the hard drives that he is using that would be more beneficial and that is to take and completely wipe them be sure to save sound drivers and critical working programs before wiping after doing so you can connect them together and make a tower to save the snow from your cell phone on
Good idea.. i will use it to charge my car.
